As a partner in a local construction company, Winsome Construction, which specializes in green building and an extensive background in planning and design, Wendy offers a unique perspective in Real Estate. She has a depth of understanding of buildings and cutting edge building technologies from her experience with construction.
Originally from Boston, Wendy was first introduced to environmental studies in college at the University of Virginia where she earned a degree in Environmental Science and Spanish. Working for world renowned green architect Will McDonough, Dean of Architecture at the University of Virginia, Wendy was first introduced to the ideas of sustainable design in communities and buildings. After college, she taught Environmental Engineering, worked as a coordinator with The Natural Step of Oregon and was the Sustainability Coordinator at Ashforth Pacific, a corporate real estate and construction company in Portland, OR.
Wendy’s broad background in environmental study and green design provides a depth of understanding of cutting edge green practices not often present in a small construction company. In addition to her role as a partner of Winsome Construction, Wendy is a licensed Real Estate Broker with Bella Casa Real Estate Group, is a City of McMinnville Planning Commissioner and is a board member of the Green Building Guild of Yamhill County.
