Before becoming a Realtor@ my first career was in the retail/wholesale garment industry. Starting in retail at the tender age of sixteen, I later became a buyer for The Bon Marche, Spiegal Catalogue, and for Jay Jacobs, a specialty chain store. I also worked on the wholesale side of the garment industry in New York City for Roytex/Pierre Cardin as a saleswoman. These positions allowed me to live in exciting cities like Seattle, Chicago, and New York.
A very good job offer with Meier and Frank buying women’s sportswear brought my family to McMinnville in 1983, where my husband’s family lived. I worked for Meier and Frank at their downtown Portland location for about 13 years and traveled quite a bit: to New York once a month, St Louis once a quarter, and to Asia on buying trips for the company.
I received my real estate license in 1997, but chose at the time to not actively sell real estate as I had become very involved in my husband's business, the Yamhill County Real Estate Guide. Over the years we have become the guide to be in when selling property in the Yamhill County or Willamette Valley area.
In 2004 I decided to actively sell real estate and have found it extremely rewarding. Being able to make someone’ dream of owning a home come true is a great feeling. I believe in a very high level of customer service and satisfaction, and I will go the extra mile to make a dream come true.
I have two daughters, Brooke and Jessica. Brooke blessed me with my first granddaughter, Addison Elizabeth Hausmann, born in January 2011. |
